The men's lacrosse team has made a late addition to the 2017-18 roster with the signing of Traverse City midfielder Kyle Gauthier (FR/Traverse City, Michigan). Gauthier becomes the 16th member of the 2017 recruiting class for the Saints.
Gauthier comes to Aquinas after prepping at Traverse City West High School, where he was the Offensive Player of the Year and leading scorer for the BayHawks. He was a three-year varsity player for TC West and also played travel lacrosse for TC Lumberjacks, Cherry Crush and TC Heat.
"I choose Aquinas because of the atmosphere.," said Gauthier. "I immediately felt welcomed by the staff, coaches and students. I know that being part of the team will help me reach my full potential not only as an athlete, but also as a person."
"Kyle's recruitment was a bit of a whirlwind, but we are glad he is a Saint," said head coach Doug Seites. "Kyle has a lot natural ability and potential, and we are excited to see him tap into that and become a strong player for us. We know he is going to bring a great attitude and work ethic and be a positive part of this program. He and his family have been great during the recruiting process and we welcome them all to the Saint family."
Gauthier will study social science at Aquinas College.
